I hadn't visited your site in a long time as I'm very busy working on a Project InSECT movie. With all these beautiful butterflies on your blog I had to comment.
I had the pleasure of working in a butterfly exhibit with live butterflies and I always marveled at these flying works of art.
Magnificent photos. Wow! Really does look like spring. Wish we had a bit more around here - too much grey, still. Alas!
Miriam's bag is just wonderful, which is why I probably paid too much, but it was a fund raiser, so what the heck. I quite love it.
I'm continuing to make progress in finishing up some of those left-overs in my sewing room. Yeah! I'll keep at it and post photos, so you know I'm not just sitting around. ;->
I went to the store today to get my stuff for the bags I am going to make, using mostly fabric I already have. We're going to start with crazy quilt bags, as I already had some vests started that I never finished from years ago.
It's surprisingly easy to get close to the butterflies without startling them. Of course, these guys were trapped inside a conservatory, but if you are patient and quiet, they don't seem to mind you getting close. Another secret is to not allow your shadow to fall upon them either.

Dear Robert,
Thanks a million for stopping in. The movie sounds very exciting--hope that's fun work for you.
Appreciate the lovely compliment!
Dear Nana,
I'm so glad you popped in and enjoyed the photos.

I'll let you know when I have one or two done!
Dear Stephanie,
_Very_ BEAUTIFUL photographs! Like always. How do you get that near to 'em, to take those?
Dear Sarah,
Thanks for popping in!

Thanks for the compliment!

I'm so jealous of your butterfly photos! It's hard to get good ones like that 'cause the critters just won't hold still.
Beth,
I would sit and wait and wait and wait, sometimes spending over an hour in one room trying to get photos. I enjoyed every minute of it!
