I finished this skirt late. It was supposed to be for one of my daughter's birthdays. So instead of a birthday skirt, I told her she can wear it for the dreadful AP (Advanced Placement) test on Friday. Works for me.

Here's the skinny on the skirt:

The green fabric is actually from the home decorating side of the store, and comes in probably six or seven colorways, all stunning. I want the pale blue with brown ribbon fabric for me! Oh, and of course, I'll need a dupioni silk blouse to match.
If you like to sew, see if you can sign up online so that they notify you about sales on the patterns. I only sew a couple times per year, but this still comes in handy. They notify of a one-day sale where all the patterns sell for $4.99 or $5.99, which is a significant savings. I don't know if you saw the dress I made for my daughter (Check out April's posts) but that was a Vintage Vogue pattern that I got on sale.
BTW, I am making the same skirt again for the other daughter. Will look very different. I'll post it when I'm done! Thanks for stopping in!
