My numbers are very lucky. They always come up-- just not at the same time.

Photo of the Day
I took this photo at the Denver Zoo a few years ago. Talking about paw prints in yesterday's post reminded me of it. When I approached the gorilla enclosure, a female was asleep near the glass. I found the sight of her hand lovely in repose, yet somehow tragic as well.
I love this picture. You truly captured something beautiful! This is one of the reasons I have great difficulty going to zoos anymore without crying. Last summer I almost had an argument with a keeper at Brookfield Zoo in Chicago because he was trying to convince me that GREEN polar bears were normal. (wet fur plus Chicago summer heat=algae) Thank goodness my hubby dragged me away before they had to call security!

I remember this photo! From years ago. It haunted me then and it haunts me now.
Man hands.
Dear NW,
Yes, I think "haunting" is the perfect word.
Dear George,
Aren't they? Sends a shiver down my spine.
I love the finger nails.
